They had chemistry and the spark and damn the forced proximity and passive aggressive just added more to their dynamics. Their relationship started as hate to love and even though it took them months to figure out their feelings for each other but I loved that everything between them progressed slowly and steadily and not until Jax decided to be better for himself and for her. "I don’t want to fall in love, but damn if her smile doesn’t make the crash landing worth it." When he was with Elena he was all "Marshmallow fluff" and I loved all the things he did for her especially when he bought her F1 nightlights because of her fear of dark. I mean I know but still he can't just take a Xanax and start treating people badly. Also his inability to understand that he also deserves happiness was frustrating me. I started liking him in the second half of the book when he tried to share his pain and anxiety with the people who could help him. Honestly I didn't like him in the first half of the book because the way he behaved like an "arse" to Elena and treated her was bad and he didn't even apologise for a single thing. The bad british boy who lives on adrenaline rush and Xanax. ![]() One I wouldn’t mind being the reason for every single day." One I want to bring out of him every day until he grows comfortable with happiness and optimism. "He lets out a rough laugh- one that fills my heart with a warmth I want to trap there. She deserves the world and all the happiness. The little things she did for Jax and the way she never let him go even though she knew what they'll have to face in the future. She's one of the best FMC I've ever read about in a book and there is not a single thing I hate about her. Elena and I could be besties in real life knowing how rain comforts her. Not once and not even when he broke her heart. She really is an angel considering how Jax treated her but she never treated him badly. She's a badass and but she has the softest and kindest soul. She is confident and strong minded even though she had a traumatic past and fears but she never let those slow her down. The best character in this series and I love her so much. I can’t live without you, and I can’t imagine a world where my son would want to either." I don’t care if you’re hidden because of a storm or the end of the fucking world. It endures everything to nurture the lives that depend on it. "The sun might seem as if it stops shining from time to time because of a cloud or a rainstorm or the nighttime, but it’s still there. I loved how supportive and loving Jax's family was to Elena and how Elena finally found her own family and friends. I loved seeing the other couples from the previous books and I loved how they become a family- ✨️ A FOUND FAMILY ✨️ Loved Liam and Jax's friendship so much and Caleb and Jax's funny and sweet dynamics. “What happens when you have to go away at the end of the season?” They had been through so much but when they met each other they healed a part of their heart that they both thought was never possible. The characters were also written with delicacy because Elena and Jax were imperfectly perfect. No cringe dialogues or useless third act breakups (it has the genuine third act breakup) just to stretch out the story but a perfect beautiful, emotional and a raw story. The writing well I must say Lauren has now become my auto-buy and favourite author though I had already bought her "Dreamland Billionaire" series last year but the writing in this was just simply beautiful and made me emotional with all the pain and fear both the characters felt. “It can be arranged after a good fucking.” “Only if you promise to go to sleep by ten o’clock.” ![]() Care to roleplay?” She taps her manicured hand on her knee. I’ve always wanted to live out that fantasy. “Looks like you got upgraded from PR rep to glorified babysitter. They were hot ❤️□ but also wholesome and the cutest couple □□ This was an enemies to lovers though not so original one, but their sexy banter □□ and the push and pull between them made me love each and every one of their interactions. It was messy and heartbreaking so many times but definitely worth for Jax and Elena's story. The way the characters helped each other heal was everything. I loved the way Lauren used the depression and anxiety rep and didn't tried to use it just for the sake of plot. The start was heartbreaking with Elena losing so much when she was just a kid. "Wrecked" literally wrecked my heart in best possible way and I really didn't expected this to be such a bittersweet and a heartwarming story. It was so much better than the first two books and I really enjoyed it. WOW! Lauren really outdid herself with this book.
